Try to avoid peeing anywhere other than in the dirt because it makes things smell and might lead to unsanitary conditions. Otherwise, I'd say peeing outdoors is ideal.

Incidentally, I have a DVD that teaches womyn how to pee while standing. If you're interested, I could link the website where I bought it (it costs 15 bucks).

I usually pee behind a bush, on grass, off the side or behind a rock. I agree, I do not pee in alleys or anywhere else that could get smelly.
And yes thanks! I would love a link! Again as I mentioned, I will use the bathroom if I can, but SO many times I get caught short at the worst times and have to go outside. Peeing standing up discreetly is ideal for me, and I will admit sometimes pleasurable (I mean when I really have to go :D )

I don't see how it's wrong (not that there aren't weird laws).

I mean, 99.9999...% of all the humans who ever lived did it that way their whole lives. :)

I pissed outside on a tree somewhere in East Vancouver tonight around 1am after a couple beers at an art studio I was working on a project at. I'm OK with it. 8)

Not an aspie thing, but surely it's a guy thing, regardless the neurology.

When I first came to this forum, I found out that everything a human can possibly do is an Aspie thing, even something as mundane as liking cheese or liking the colour green. I used to get really wound up, but now I just have a laugh out of it.

I was taking a leak on a rather dry shrub one day (figured it needed some moisture) when my dog, Whiskey, walked up. For some reason, he got into the habit of walking up behind people and then between their legs. When he did that, he stuck his nose right into the urine stream, paused in surprise for a few seconds, and then backed out in a bit of a hurry.

It was about a year before he tried that again with me.

No, it's not an "Aspie thing." It's a "I can't hold it in any longer" thing.

I'm a hiker so I'm frequently pee outdoors.

It can also be a lack of facilities thing....not to mention it's not just guys who pee outside, though I imagine its a little bit easier if you're a guy as you don't have to squat and its easier to be discreet. Just another reason it might have been nice to have been born male...

Or every runner, every hunter, every hiker, basically, anyone who works or plays outdoors.

Human urine is supposed to be pretty sterile, unless one has a UTI.

I once read a post online by a guy who was stuck in traffic so he went out and peed on the side of the road because he couldn't hold it any longer, other guys started doing the same. Gosh now I know that being stuck in traffic can really detect who has Asperger's.

Seems to me, in France and Spain it's part of the culture - for men.

It's not an aspie thing if that's your question, this is universal to humans.. it's really neither okay or not okay. Sometimes you just gotta go.. I think you would need to do it as private as possible, though.
