Ghosthunter, it looks like I owe you an apology.
I shouldn't have mentioned you in the same post as "171NewYork" or "coolblues". They are just looking for trouble whereas you are evidently seeking a positive, constructive social environment.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that me not understanding your writing style was my problem and I hope you stay and find whatever you were looking for here.

I'd like to commend Shawn for having the courage to apologize. Most people wouldn't do this.

I'd also like to say that Ghosthunter is very welcome here. I am saying this as a member, and as the founder of WrongPlanet.net. WrongPlanet accepts anyone connected to the autistic spectrum, especially people like Ghosthunter who are very valuable to the community

If Ghosthunter left, I would be very sad. I really like his posts, and they aren't that hard to understand once you get used to them. Ghosthunter, your posts contain a lot of insight, even if it may be encapsulated inside poetry and other forms of creative expression. I think that most members appreciate this, even if it takes them a little longer to get to know you. Once people get to know you, they really like you. I hope this helps!

Ghosthunter, maybe you can write an official WrongPlanet article about bridging the gap between HFA and asperger's syndrome. I would very much appreciate it!

I think it's really big of you to apologize Sean. I think Ghosthunter should stay. His posts are a bit long and wordy so I just don't read them much, but they are harmless. So whats the big deal...if my opinion is worth anything...my advice is condense the posts abit.Thats what I think.

I have no idea. Moved it to the general forum, where it was originally.

Yikes, what did I miss?

It looks like everyone's already said the same things I would have. So I won't write out the entire rant that's in my head. Just that I agree totally with the people who've said don't treat Ghosthunter the way the NT's treated you.

I am new to this site in contrast to many others.

But I have personally throroughly enjoyed Ghosthunter and his original posts.

NO. I do not want Ghosthunter to leave. Those who suggest such a thing should leave IMO.

That's all I have to say.

And by the way, there are poetic ASers. I have met some, including myself.

And I personally like the format of Ghosthunter's posts as they show PERSONALITY.

I don't see why anything about Ghosthunter should be any kind of issue.

Down with conformity...

Ghosthunter, I don't see why anyone would be offended by you. You do not seem like an offensive person to me. I enjoy your presence here and I hope you'll stay.

Ghosthunter, I read the majority of your posts, and understand most. I don't see why some one would want you to go. Eh, just some thoughts. Oh, you should stay.

[WrongPlanet accepts anyone connected to the autistic spectrum]

does that include "NTs" who care about or for people with AS or autism or have only some AS traits? or should we go away and stop "lurking"?

Fred- I guess you did not see our recent "lurker thread." Yes, NTs are more than welcome here. I myself am not diagnosed with AS, so I may just have AS traits and not full blown AS, as you have mentioned in your post.

I think if you have a genuine interest, and good intentions, there is no reason for you to "go away." It is always refreshing and helpful to have a different take on the things we discuss here, as well. NTs, I feel, can help provide insight into things that the rest of us may miss or do not understand. NTs can also act as a sort of control group, because we often have threads here in which the thread starter says "I do this type of thing" and everyone else says "Me too, maybe it's an AS thing." If we have an NT here who says "No no, NTs do that too," or "Yes, that seems like an AS thing" that can also be helpful.

Connected to the Autism spectrum means anyone who is interested in it basically.

A principle which runs my life is that we should not care about "how" things are being said, but to try and extract "what" is being said. I would like to point out while Ghosthunters format may be unconventional, his writings are not without content.

Which would you prefer? An eloquent and formatically correct essay with little substance, or something which may not be readily understable but once you do you can derive great meaning from?

I agree, if you dont understand something its partially your fault as well. Read it again until you finally grasp the meaning.

I'm tired of people unable to handle a little bit of inaccessibility. Why am I a fan of Radiohead? Their music may seem standoff-ish at first, but in the long run you appreciate its depth and symbolism.
