It would be a rare hired advocate who could open doors like $1000000 would.

Not even a hard choice. A million dollars would make living with ASD easy, at my mild level. Pay off my debts, put a down payment on a house, hire some help to keep me organized. I fantasize about that all the time.

Easy. The million dollars. Now I no longer have to make a social effort just to get money.

(And just lol at "undercover health problems". I won the genetic lottery; I never get sick and I'm probably going to look youthful until I'm 70.)

Invest. Live off the interest as much as possible.

It's obvious: one million bucks, tax free!

If I got "cured" of my Asperger's, I would lose a big part of me.

Million dollars, losing my asperger's would probably mess me up emotionally and mentally and just sounds scary.

The question here is simple: Would you rather get tons of money for doing nothing or getting heavy brainwashed and have your personality changed forever?

if i were young, i'd take the cure, and the better social skills would make me more than an extra million during my working life. at 58, i'm fairly settled, so the cash sounds great.

No.

You're not reading things correctly.

People have said they would keep their Asperger's and take the million dollars instead of a complete and total cure forever.

Nope. We'd rather take a million dollars than be cured.

Well in that case. I'll take the million. I didn't know I could have my cake and eat it too.
