They did that with me too. But they didn't recognize me as having AS, officially they said I had an "Emotional Disability" because I would blow up in anger.

What a response! I cant believe how many people have contributed in only two days! I have read some of the stories and some of them are heart-wrenching, I am looking forward to reading this rest later today. Just wanted to say thankyou, and that I value all the contributions that have been made. Please feel free to add more, there are some obvious trends emerging and I would like to explore them futher.
