It varies, sometimes I eat too much and then sometimes I basically starve myself. Right now I've been going thru a period of not eating much, a lot of stress and anxiety I've been living under lately.

I only eat when I have a meal with someone else because I tend to forget about food. It's strange because I do get lightheaded when I don't eat but I don't feel particularly hungry.

Too good, I´m afraid. I would like to lose my appetite a couple of months now and then.

Too great for a man of my size. But most of the time I could ascribe it to sheer boredom.

I'm also an emotional eater, which makes things even worse!

Keep at it. Weight loss and maintaining a healthy weight is hard work, but it's worth it. Eating more fruits and veggies and less meat can help a lot.

Also, cutting as much dairy, sugar, and gluten out of your diets possible is also beneficial. If you ever need some gluten free bread, cookies, or pancake recipes, just let me know. I've found some good ones that work great! :)

I've found rice milk to be one of my favorite milk substitutes, and it's so light and easy on my stomach.

Also walking and jogging are good too. That's what also has helped me.

Also, sorry for the delay, but check out the latest post on this thread of you want to hear one of my 80's tracks:

Coconut milk is a great alternative to dairy. The brand I buy is surprisingly low in calories, light on the system and extremely flavoursome. The only downside is its price.

Too high. I've been bus sized for most of my life, though I recently lost a lot of weight. But I've been gaining weight again recently. :(

My appetite is good. But I have a bad habit of eating whenever I like rather than having fixed meals. When I'm awake at home, I just keep eating out of boredom. I only eat tasty foods. Fortunately I find fruits and vegetables very delicious. I also don't easily put on weight. I'd rather be hungry than eat undelicious food. I can go without eating for a long time if there's nothing delicious around. I feel very depressed when my stomach is full.

Now Olympiadis, don't you think we have enough Web cookies to go around?

That thing had better be gluten free, that's all I can say. 8)

It definitely is worth it, marcb0t. Thanks!

It's frustrating because I love all food, even the healthy stuff, but I just eat too much of it! It's a comfort thing too. I don't really love exercise all that much, either. :( I mean once I get around to it, it's great, but I usually don't have the motivation to get up in the first place. That's where the hard work comes in I suppose!

I've also found that getting in extra protein helps with my appetite. And a little bit of fat too. I'm not afraid of (most) fat.

Are you actually gluten intolerant, or did you cut out gluten for weight loss reasons? I've heard that unless you have an intolerance (or Coeliac disease), cutting out gluten may be unnecessary. I'm glad you've had so much success with it though!

Oh, and I'm about to check out some of your stuff now, so I'll reply there. ;)

Hi Myriad,

No, I actually am not intolerant to gluten. But my roommate is, so we all changed or diets to help him, and make things easier. I still eat stuff with gluten sometimes, but not as often. And I'm sure my body is benefiting somehow.

I hear ya on the exercise thing. Getting started is the hardest part. And I don't really exercise much except I walk all day at work, and walk at least 3 miles a day to get to and from work. So that's my "saving grace" to keep me physically active. Plus I have to hustle and keep up an intense pace at the production warehouse I'm at.

If it weren't for those things, I'd puff up like a balloon.

I've learned a lot about healthy eating and exercise stuff from friends who are really into it.

I am on olanzapine 20mg so I should perhaps have a ravenous appetite. But I don't. I eat two slices of toast for breakfast and then don't eat until 15:00 when I have a lunch-dinner hybrid. Then maybe at 21:00 or 22:00 I'll have a couple of biscuits or something similar.

I don't get hungry when I'm absorbed in my special interests. I can read neuropsychiatry for several hours at a time.

I also forget to drink water, which is bad as dehydration triggers off my migraines.

I do exercise sometimes and I lift weights too. But I don't get hungry despite speeding up my metabolism with increased muscle bulk.

Oh nice. I always use brown rice flour, but almond flour sounds even better. Thanks for the tips! :)
