But my WP settings are fine. It's the same time on the site as it is on my laptop. Look at the comment where EzraS replies to mine... you're on the East coast, so it should say 7:00, right? And the west coast is 3 hours behind the east coast so it would be 4:00. Right? :?

His comment came at 6:42 AM Eastern Daylight Time, which is 3:42 Pacific Daylight Time, and 11:42 AM British Summer Time.

Huh, changed to 11:42 on my screen now. Very weird.

But yeah, 3:42 is a very late time to be awake and on the internet at. Staying up late? Waking up in the night? Can't be sure, but it's best if you're not on that time in the morning. :o

I like the idea of avoiding the ridiculous morning getting-ready routine by going to bed dressed for the next day. If that is possible, of course. I have been working from home for several years and so have been able to do that quite easily. It has made a big difference, but then I recognize mine is a special case that may not be as practicable for others.

Hey Ezra - yah, to the extent you can prep things the night before it really helps. I'm not and have never been a morning person. It's a wonder I don't have my clothes on backwards when walk out of the door in the morning. If I could go to bed at 2am and get up at 10am things would be a lot better for me but unfortunately the world doesn't seem to work like that.

Yeah, getting clothes out the night before is always useful. And packing bags or anything like that. Just gives you less to do in the morning and less to forget.

I'm lost. :? His reply to my comment says 12:00. 12 subtract 8 (they're 8 hours behind aren't they?) is 4... making it 4 AM when his reply was posted? Or have I been really stupid? :?

It is common for me to wake up for a short while in the middle of the night. I usually read or post for a little while and then fall asleep again. Other times I sleep solid through the night. But this really isn't a morning problem specifically, it's just that mornings needing to get ready for school in x amount of time is when it stands out the most. I need help throughout the day with stuff. Like I said, there are PECS cards around to help me throughout the day. Even when I have been up for a few hours during the summer and need to get dressed and teeth brushed etc, I still need the same amount of help if it's to be done timely and properly. In addition to taking too long I mess up by putting things on inside out and stuff like that.

Oh ok, it's good you fall asleep again. Sometimes it's hard to fall back to sleep once you wake up, but it's good that you can. :)

Not really sure what advice I can give, sorry. I used to be very slow at getting clothes on and that stood out the most when I went swimming and in PE at school but I just got better and I don't know why. I'll try to think but I really don't think I can give any advice, sorry. :(

...In a sense , I never had the chance to " slack back " like that ~ I had to " do things " (please notr thr quotation marks) .

ote="EzraS"]A lot of the time when it's time for me to wake up, I am totally "out to lunch". I have to literally be pulled out of bed, taken to the toilet if I need to go and then be dressed. I can do those things by myself, but a lot of times it takes me forever. Like will get checked up on dressing myself a half hour later and I just have one sock on. It's just something I'm thinking about since going back to school is coming up and I'm turning 15 in three weeks. I know I have disability. But still needing to be taken to the toilet and dressed at 15? I'm not stupid, how can I break past being like a 2 year old when it comes to that?[/quote]
