I think the exact thing. Small talk 15 seconds to 30 seconds is fine, but 1 minute and higher is not fine.

Meteorology and the weather is one of my obsessions too, but I get annoyed when people say what a bad summer, when statistically it is better in a number of regards.

However I must stop correcting people when they are wrong in this regard. It must be very annoying.
