Are therapist a waste of time and money?

It's clearly a waste of time if the therapist is not showing up for the appointment. A person who doesn't value the time they're not spending with you, won't value the time they ARE spending with you either.

Off topic here:
I have trouble with the word 'therapist'.
It makes me feel uneasy.
All I can think of is how the word 'therapist' contains the words: 'the rapist'.

Me too. And I've seen people write about that before, about how apt it is, because what a lot of them do is like mental or spiritual rape. It's also not uncommon for therapists to seduce their patients. Literal rape does happen too, but I hope that's unusual.

After working my way through many therapy session administrators, my current one is priceless.
Most of the others just screwed with my head, so in a way it was mental rape.

I haven't had much luck with them but I didn't see em much. I haven't had much luck seeing a psychiatrist either thou. But I had a lot of success doing my own research on meds & getting my GP to prescribe them.
