It does make fun of Asperger's. Sheldon is a mockery and a caricature.

But it also places Aspergian people in positive relationships with NT's.

Sheldon is even in somewhat of a "positive" relationship with a seemingly Aspie lady.

I'm a pretty good shot with a rifle (not so much with a bow, but I try; Yoda doesn't know a damn thing); I guess that'd come in handy* in specific circumstances (food and protecting livestock).
