I recently had a temporary job where the boss was the most ill-mannered,insensitive and
egotistic man I've worked with in 30 years. I think he took a dislike to me but it wasn't
because of my AS traits,it was because I didn't go out of my way (unlike his permanent staff)
to try and impress him or feed his ego by treating him like a god. There's so much 'office
politics' and fancy ideas about motivation going on that sometimes I think people get sidetracked from simply doing the job as best they can and getting along ok with their colleagues
or staff.
I should add that I've also known bosses who are fantastic in how they treat people
in a firm but good humoured way.Legislation is also very much against the bullying type of boss these days

I am fortunate. The people I work with are nice.

In a previous work enviornment, I had one supervisor who acted really strange. He would blow up at people and, when his wife came by the workplace, he let her stand there as if she were a potted plant. He didn't even acknowledge her. Fortunately, I work with much better people now.
