Yes! I'd also have to add how much they ruined the hobbit...

I had no idea people actually think that! That grinds my gears too, just knowing anyone would think it was just that simple :)

I've heard peoples half baked theories for years since the movies came out about it, but now at least 24 million people have been lead astray. 8O

Nice username :D, yes I'd add that to my list as well, Jacksons technology power trip he had with the Hobbit Trilogy. It breaks my heart because their were a few parts or concepts that I thought were really good and in line with the greater lore, but that just exemplified how bad the rest of it was though. I was really happy when they included the White Councils raid of Dol Guldur, but it was executed pretty terribly. The Nazgul looked like they were straight out of a video game.

Not being allowed to be myself or being forced into social situations I'm not comfortable in. I believe people are nearly always much happier when they are allowed to be who they are. When they are forced not to they suffer depression and all kinds of other problems. That goes for both people on the spectrum and NT's.

Seeing an absolutely stupid/creepy/disgusting commercial on a Youtube video and then replying why it's so stupid when everyone else seems to be saying, "OMG, like this commercial is hilarious/adorable/cool, OMG I love it. I think the ad companies just delete the comments that are negative. Evil.

People who think aspies need to be cured. That's like saying "We need you to take this highly toxic substance to cure you of being who you are".

People who think loners are freaks or even dangerous. They think people never want to be alone, ever, unless it's because they're hiding the parts of their victims in their freezer.

Government conspiracy theories. They hiding all the aliens from us. As if they're even smart enough to even do that. Or they have the cure for cancer but don't want the public to know or all kinds of medical people will lose work. So I guess political people never get cancer or other life-threatening illness, then.

Survivalists.

People who are complete trolls over the most minor things, like a trivia question on the network where I check the weather. Then they say how the question was really stupid and that the network is stupid and act all arrogant and superior over such a little thing.

Listening to my dad's bigoted, ignorant fox news, Trudeau and Obama are muslim ISIS loving terrorist antichrists and all the other ignorant hateful extreme right wing bs that comes out of his mouth on a daily basis. Being in the same room with him is depressing let alone the same family. I literally shudder at the fact he is retiring in a year and going to be home all the time. Ugh.

That sounds like it would grind my gears too. Fortunately my parents aren't republicans.

When people who have never directly experienced the things that I have (i.e., abuse, abandonment, homelessness, military service, marriage, divorce, parenthood, et cetera), take a few facts they've read off Wikipedia, fill in the gaps with assumptions and urban myths, and then get all pretentious in telling me that my experiences weren't real, because according to their "research" ( ), nothing like that could have ever possibly happened.

I have to deal with this too. My family is extremely conservative and I believe in liberalism.

minor but relevant to current affairs in my house--when people (aka my partner) clean unintelligently. like sweeping the floor before the counters are wiped, filling the sink up with soapy water and dishes and then leaving it for days, putting wet dishes away instead of cleaning something else while they dry, or not paying attention to what they throw in the laundry (all shirts and sweatshirts, a few pants and no underwear/socks. sounds like a great week lol).

it just doesn't make sense. and for something that a person has to do repeatedly for all of their life, I don't understand how they don't have an intelligent system yet.

What really grinds my gears are the people who judge something based entirely on what they have seen and not what they know. Guess I missed the study where they proved opinions to be more valid than facts :?

Thank you, I chose it because I love to create things. Also, I love elves and the Noldor were students under Aulë so I thought that could work but later I realised it sounded like I was one of the dwarves... oh well :P

I agree that some of the added parts would have been great had they been portrayed better. Some scenes had me thinking, "okay, that happened but I'm pretty sure it didn't happen like that." Also, I was upset that they messed with so much of the story just to carry out and put focus on the whole Kili/Tauriel love thing. I would be fine with Tauriel if she was just a more fleshed out character of the nameless Captain of the Guard in the book as they had made it seem like she was going to be.
