My family and I are OK with Halloween as long as no one knocks on the front door asking for candy. We usually watch a scary movie on Halloween.

Yes. It is one of my favorite holidays. I can play the part of "mad scientist" quite well (maybe too well)...

I'd be disappointed if I went door knocking and all I got was a bit of candy. Hard cash please!

My family and I try not to watch movies that are overtly scary and/or overtly bloody on Halloween because that would give us nightmares, so we watch any scary movie that has a lot of suspense in it. Also, any scary movie that has a lot of humor in it we have watched too.

Such movies we have watched on Halloween or on the days before Halloween are:
The Woman In Black
The Conjuring
The Blair Witch Project
The Purge
The Silence Of The Lambs
Poltergeist {original version}
Panic Room
Ghostbusters
Warm Bodies
The Corpse Bride
Jaws
The Cabin In The Woods

My mom hates Halloween so much she even has threatened to call the police on trick-or-treaters.

I don't think the police would be interested in arresting a couple of 5 year olds but maybe I'm wrong 8O

It's disappointing in the UK, but a ton of fun in the US. I like making it a "horror movie month." I have little pumpkin and ghost decorations around my TV. :D

Oh man Halloween.

Had lots of fun in college despite being an Aspie.

This one Halloween I went with my son and my wife's (female) friend and her son trick-or-treating. We get to this one house and the woman is dressed up in a French maid outfit. Yes that kind of outfit. And I had to pretend like I didn't see it.

I love halloween and going trick or treating with my friends, but I fear I may have to stop soon because I'm 16 and 6 foot one, and someone may confuse me for a pedo or something....

Although I realize some adults handing out candy might object or give you the hairy eyeball, but I have to tell you that at my house, EVERYONE gets a treat! Even parents, if I see them out on the sidewalk watching their kids walk up to my house for a treat...I'll hand the kid an extra candy and say "Please give this to your mom/dad..." The look on the parent's face is priceless, every time, they get so excited as if they're kids again, LOL.

So go ahead and put that Iron Man costume on and trick-or-treat at my house!

I've always loved Halloween. I like dressing up and going to the Halloween dances at the clubhouse that I go to. I also like eating candy. I even like it when I go to bed and drift off to sleep, as I hear kids setting off fireworks. I like everything about Halloween.

Me! I love dressing up. I have a killer vampire queen costume ready to go but I don't think I'll get to go to a party this year because my BF's high school reunion is scheduled on Halloween

Ah yes. :skull: As someone who has been indulging in the wonders of the gothic subculture for almost ten years, it's safe to say that Halloween is like my Christmas.

I don't mind trick-or-treating, but I usually feel awkward doing it at my age unless I have friends to knock on doors and say "trick-or-treat!" for me. Heck, I felt awkward doing it as a kid even. But I do love costuming. And Halloween movies! Especially the cutesy ones such as Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown. Of course, I wouldn't say no to a scary movie marathon either.

Sitting in a dark room with a pile of candy watching gorey gore films... good times.
