Sometimes, nobody can account for certain things.

It's best to move on and proceed with life.

This is the truth:

People are pissed with you, Cockroach, because you're being abrasive. You're being rough with people. There's no reason to be rough with somebody who is not rough with you.

If you say things in a nicer way, people will like you better.

I can't help but be abrasive, it's the way I am. If I try to be nice instead of blunt, it feels odd and consumes a lot of energy.

But you can try, my friend.

You'll never get anywhere in life by being abrasive.

You don't have to be nice. Just don't be rough, unless somebody's rough with you without provocation.

I tried to be nice in real life, it didn't work. People still sensed I am a dumbass aspie, so why hide it?

I don't find the idea behind this thread problematic at all. Not a lot of difference between this and the You Know You're An Aspie When..... thread.

Why do you think people think you're a dumbass Aspie?

I think something happened to you recently, and you're reacting to it.

If you try to meet people halfway, you will get respected.

Especially as you get older.

Okay, Cockroach, here's some advice: if you're feeling angry, just go to the rant thread to vent. Rant as much as you need to get everything out of your system, you'll feel better afterwards.

Honestly, I think Catlover is giving good advice here.

I, personally, was not offended by cockroach's meme in the original post. The ability to laugh at oneself is a necessary life skill to develop, and I think he is mocking himself, not anybody else. I don't see the problem here.
