I hate winter and cold weather in general. I always get sick. What makes up for it though is that I'm hyposensitive to heat. During summer, I'm walking with outside with my hoodie when its 30 degree celsius and I can feel the sweat on my body but I do not feel the heat.

I love winter! I love walking during snowstorms and feeling the snow pricking my face like needles.

I hate winter too -- I have sensory issues with winter clothing, but I hate the cold so I can't wear less clothing.

I hate wearing layers even though that's the best way to dress; the layers bother me and if the one nearest my skin is riding up or twisting, I feel that and can't stop thinking how much I need to get under there and pull it about. I'm constantly messing with my clothes in winter. I feel suffocated by winter clothing but, like I've said, I have no option but to wear them because I feel the cold badly. I'm the person that's feeling chilly when everyone else is walking around saying how warm it is.

I vastly prefer summer; not so many clothes and layers to wear. The weather is prettier; I get very affected depression-wise by what I see and how I feel about what I'm seeing, and I find the dismal weather of winter very disheartening. I don't even have seasonal affective disorder; I get enough actual daylight, I just don't like the look of bare trees and mud and skies that are uniform grey cloud. Winter looks ugly and dreary to me. Summer is beautiful even to look at. Green trees, sunlight, flowers. I'm not religious but if there's a heaven it would be summery, warm, full of flowers and greenness, and if there's a hell it would look like perpetual winter to me.

I also have horrendous sensory issues with high winds. We have one today and I could barely catch my breath. A windy day makes me feel like I'm in a battle just to walk along.

When I was a kid, I would sometimes open the window in my bedroom when it was at least as cold as 20 F. I loved sleeping in that as long as I had enough blankets to keep warm.

Our heat for the house was a simple gas stove in the living room which was turned off at night. There was no water lines to the upstairs to freeze so I didn't have to worry about that.

The only thing that was rough about it was getting up in the morning in a 20 degree room and rushing downstairs to stand in front of the gas stove in the living room.
