I think my body language can be quite exaggerated.

My hands can wave around so wildly, if I watched myself passionately talking about something I'd be afraid I'd hurt someone with my wild movements.

Extremely uncomfortable making eye contact.

It's true, especially since a lot of people learn that at an early age. And psychopaths can do it without falter.

The only effect that urban myth has is to make honest but underconfident/shy people look like liars.

If you want to see a sophisticated lie, watch a good liar tie a lie together with truth, timing their glance to look away during an unimportant statement. The timing and glance draw attention away from the false statement. A little obvious lie to distract from the bigger, more carefully shielded one.
