In my opinion, Jesus, whether or not he is your Messiah or you even believe he lived etc., displays, as described in the Bible, a lot of traits that are also found in AS, and is just as qualified to be one of us as many of the other people being dug up and recruited into our aspie lodge.

LOL Yes, Jesus does seem to be AS. Let's not forget that many people took a "disliking" to His strange ways and views and His was probably the first recorded case of "Stamping Out Autism" by Stamping out the Autistic Person!

fionaban, not to try to attack your beliefs or anything, but I am totally lost.

P.S.- Why do people with religious beliefs demand that their beliefs are respected and yet even though I am atheist, it seems that atheism doesn't fall under the Respect Umbrella??? I grumble at people who state their beliefs as fact even though I try very hard not to state mine as such (even those which are based scientifically if I am aware that the other person does not subscribe to them). --Oh, this last part wasn't particularly directed at you fionaban. ;)

fionaban, not to be rude, but you're taking this too seriously. It's more of a joke thread and you're looking into it in order to find something blasphemous or anti-religous. Argh... :?

Anyways, the thought that Jesus is/was AS is pretty weird to me. Think about it, he socialized A LOT. I really don't know what else to add.

I just don't get why we are having a religious forum here anyway. I can't see the link between aspies and religion.

I feel like society (in genereal) is based upon christianity and I am not beeing respected/accepted for mine not-beeing-religious nor my aspie-like-behaviour.
I don't mean here online I mean in real-life.

I am just so tired of hearing about Jeasus and God, look I even type them in Capitol letters because I have so much respect for them, like they were reall people or something. Harry Potter was real too, he proably lived during the same period of time and shold be praised liek a genious.

Norway is uber-christain? I've got a friend in Sweden who's pagan (native Swedish), has a catholic friend (from Poland) and catholic bf (from Russia), and lots of muslim neighbours (from Turkey mostly), but then, Sweden has a far higher immigrant population than Norway, IIRC.

Here, there's a mix of Protestant (I suppose you could kind of call me one), Catholic (I'm technically one of these), Jehovas witnesses (they're so much fun  ), muslims, sikhs, various flavours of Jews (of which I am technically one also), atheists (of which I am also one) and similar, new age, pagan and so on (not seen any hindu, but there must be some). Whoever said immigration was a bad thing?

Norway isn't uber-christian it is just so conformist-like, wich I am so not.
Jehovas Whitnesses are such nice people, I used to have these friends and they were the best friends ever. Well it lasted for about a year or so. Anyway how are you technicaly Jewish Chatholic and Protestant?

I really do wish I was religious, but I just can't conform or bring myself to a believe in something other that a great album or a great book.... sob...sob..sob...

I never thought of Jesus as an aspie, mmmm, but I think he has a since of humor, I mean really...look at his servants. So you know if he was an aspie then you all are in good company. His word tells us we are to be a peculiar people, for some people....that just comes naturally, aspie or other wise. I don't think the whale met any harm. some stuff? I went ahh...geez, but for the most part...I wasn't offended, I think it was met in good humor,

Harry Potter is very real indeed. I met him the other day in the forest and he told me about how I could become a witch and stuff. Totally awesome that little dude.

I think the Harry Potter thing was a joke. By the way, I am a huge fan of Harry Potter, and when I read the books I feel a personal connection to him. So does that make me a fan or a friend?

TheWhale, very interesting topic.

So this means that if I claim to have seen/talked to Harry Potter I can claim him as my friend as well as me beeing a fan of his. Is this like beeing a fan of God or Jesus, but then I'd have to have seen/talked to God or Jesus to claim to be friends with them.

So if I feel a personal connection with someone and have only talked to them in my dreams what does that make me/them? Some kind of a fan-friend maybe...
