I have had very dark circles under my eyes too...it was more pronounced when I was a kid...

I was accused of being on drugs as early as fifth grade...some girl told me that her grandma said she was not to socialize with me anymore because I looked like I was on drugs. They had seen me in the principals office waiting to go to the nurses office (as I did every week)..and her grandmother thought I was on drugs....
I have not read the rest of the thread btw...

But my NT sister used to screech at me that i looked like I was on drugs all the time during the unfortunate incidents that we happened to go to the same school...

She would always screech about the various perceptions her verious NT friends had about me.

Also...I was regarded as being a "seriously troubled teen" by one of the main facilitators of a summer youth program I belonged to in Jr. High....She interviewed me and thought I was some kinda dirt bag or something.....this was quite a while before I ever started doing anything "wrong"...like joining a band and drinking alot and having underaged sex etc....
She said some pretty awful things to me that really hurt my feelings at the time.

there was another time when a police officer thought I was on drugs..I was not....he also though my hair was a wig....he was a freak...

now i will go try to read the rest of the thread...hope I am not totally off base...

Yeah…throughout high school a person constantly accused me of being “high”; this was generally to do with me having deep set and narrow eyes; and not talking to him (or anyone) obviously. Some other people did too because of my "dopey" appearance....

It's easy to make fun of someone.

I have dark circles around my eyes too, but that's possibly due to my being largely nocturnal, and not really doing so well in daylight.

As for drugs... I've never been overtly accused of it, but I do remember one occasion when I was coming home from a solo trip to London, after having had an epileptic fit on the tube platform (not fun when you're by yourself at 11.30pm... or any other time, really). The guy opposite me clearly thought I was on something, or coming down off something, because I was shivering and presumably looking very strung-out. I did want to say something to correct his false impression, but since the right side of my mouth wasn't quite at full movement capacity at that point, it would have just made the situation worse...

I was given a script for Paxil last year. After 4-6 weeks it had done nothing for me. When I told the dr, he said that was impossible and accused me of not taking it.

I was also told I must have been noncompliant about the meds when I was taking them. The funny thing is side effects were dismissed as not important, was told that I was better on the meds, and after I completely disagreed and wanted to stop then the psychiatrist said I must not have been taking them in the first place. And the reason the word "noncompliant" is important is because I had allowed the records from this one doctor to be transferred to another and basically without even knowing me immediately assumed I would have issues of not cooperating. So another thing too is if anyone does go to see another therapist reconsider mentioning all the doctors you have seen because you have no idea what they wrote down.

I was accused of doing drugs at the factory that I was working at, ten years ago. A group of girls used to ask me if I got high, lately, and if I smoke pot. They were also calling me a hippie, though I was a Mod who worshipped The Kinks.

I know what you mean viz. the fits. I have only ever had two major (tonic clonic) fits and luckily, I was at home one time and the other time I was at my dads house so it was ok but at my dad's wedding party after not having had a drop to drink I started to feel really bad (I had been ill at the time) as I was leaving and became completely glazed over and as I walked down the road to my car, my legs started to go and then I completely blacked out. Of course everyone at the party who had seen me stagger down the road and collapse assumed that I had too much to drink.

This old lunchlady used to accuse me of getting stoned.
I've also had tables that use to say,"hey man, you're so ripped."
And that was years ago.. Back when drugs were a fantasy.

Now-a-days don't be surprised to see me a lil stoned.

Hahahaha. No, just the ghetto, Which is horribly confusing to live in! One of the reasons people think I am on drugs is because I have a tough time with slang. I asked someone why they were calling their friend a dog when he is clearly a human being. They just looked at me and said "I'll take two of whatever you're taking"

Quite a few times, and I haven't touched anything illegal, or anything that hasn't been prescribed to me since late 1991.

When I was about 16, don't know exactly the age, my father not only invented I was drugging myself, but also invented the drug! he believed I was having iodophorm, that should be a drug that I never heard about. Anyway the hole family seemed to believe in him.
didn't the same happen to Nts?
