I'm not afraid of birds, but I do have quite a few phobias. I would think phobias are pretty common with AS.

I pretty much love animals. At least cute animals :D

I was thinking I'm not irrationally scared of anything like that...but actually I maybe sort of am with plants. They kind of freak me out a little bit, especially roots. They're so gross looking and tube-y, and I kind of jump away if I feel a plant touching me (what's it DOING!?!) :D

I have to wear gloves when I pull weeds, so I don't have to touch them.

(But my disclaimer-I don't know yet if I have AS or not.)

I love birds. i handle them all the time at work. Mostly they're not dangerous at all but you have to be careful with something like a heron because that long pointy beak will have your eye out! I often get nipped by big crows but it's never drawn blood. Once you get to know birds a bit you realise what individual personalities they have!
