I have learned to channel that feeling of "'thrill, thrill i'm in love, i'm in love, thrill thrill," to not attach itself to a PERSON, but to just feel the juicy goodness of it and think of the spring day, or the warm furry kitty, or the green grass I am rolling in, or some such.
That has gone a long way to head off the worst of attaching the feeling to
a person, which is ALWAYS problematic.

It wasn't until I came to WP that I learned what limerance was. Now it's so easy to see that it was never the person at all, but someone who happened along at the right moment for me to fixate on.

Everything that lives does stupid stuff. Trial & error, it must be so. We have to do lots of stupid stuff before we can do any smart stuff.

I would like to be better at understanding multiple things and points of view simultaneously. Particularly human points of view, which often seem to actively escape rational explanation. (Aspie "singlemindedness" is a good thing in many contexts, but certainly not in all.)

Just ONE? A little limiting. Well I think I'll keep my difficulty understanding deception and sarcasm, as it adds to my character... hmmm... How about my Anxiety about Working, and crippling aversion to doing things I don't want to do.

Mostly I have a tendancy to do or say the wrong thing by mistake or people get turned away by my eccentric behavior.

Everything about it. I don't have any of the good Aspie traits. If I could remove my AS I'd be happy, well, as happy as anyone is.

I can't change what "is", so I don't bother to speculate on what's not.

I'd get rid of the anti-social part of it.

I find the sensory-overload issues to be a double-edged sword...on the one hand, I think it helps me with my music, and it makes big screen movies...breathtaking. But if I'm even a little tired or stressed, then the movie theatre's a nightmare, and any social situation becomes dizzy with all of the talking an movement...

So I guess, I wouldn't necessarily change the "my AS" part...I would just sleep more and change the world so that my friends would all sit still (or at least move in sensible, predictable ways) and speak quiety in an orderly fashion.

I'll get back to you on how that works out for me^.^

I would like to stop being nervous when I go to interviews or at least be able to channel that nervous energy in the right direction and be able to give the proper answers in order to advance at work.

That's nothing to with your AS, that's you being nervous. I do get nervous a little bit at interviews, but you have to channel it positively by preparing yourself before going to an interview by knowing your stuff. Some people naturally have more confidence infront of people. Let me stop babbling on off-topic, lol.

I wouldn't change anything about me and my AS. Me is me. I wouldn't want to be different because most people who are NT see me in a very good light. Hard working, polite, dedicated..... I'm happy being who I am. So should everyone here.
