Random depression
Yes, I get this. I've been treated for clinical depression for years. Black moods with a real cause are understandable, but sometimes there'll be no trigger, or the trigger will be some trivial little thing that totally doesn't warrant the massive emotional response it gets.
My theory is that as Aspies, we're more prone to the stress- and anxiety-producing effects of trying to live in this society that's really not geared to how we think. It's hard work and we're often worn out and frizzled, which can increase the risk of depression and the like.
