Well-roundedness is kind of boring, don't you think? :D

I do this often. Unfortunately, I do this often at work, but it is an obssession, and I can't seem to stop researching whatever interests me currently.

I don't have one right now.
I've had militairy and history throughout most of my life.
Right now that seems to be slowly fading away.
The reason may be that there just weren't enough decent wargames/movies coming out.
I accepted that and looked into other things to keep myself from getting bored to death.
No one thing really interests me as much though.
I just do random things to pass the time and try and keep myself from being bored.

Yes when I'm a) depressed or b) in a "wellrounded" phase. The latter is very rare.

I go through periods when I don't have any obessions. Usually it's when I'm feeling depressed or numb, but there have been a few "normal" situations as well.

If I'm really depressed I'll lose all drive for my interests too. Thankfully doesn't happen very often, or for very long. I have to be REALLY depressed, because normally those things cheer me up.

I guess I'm odd then. When I get depressed, I get absorbed in my obsession and it is all I can do to go to work. It's because my obsessions make me feel better, so I indulge them until I come out of it. It's much better than drugs to me.

When I have a three day migraine it is hard to do my obsessions. I still do them, but it's much harder.

I haven't had one in two or three years at least. My problem is that I can't stay interested in anything for more than a few weeks.

Sometimes when I'm interchanging between obsessions, I'll have nothing that I'm obsessed with for a bit. However, that doesn't mean that I don't still really like certain things.

I think it is the same for me. My obsession intensifies when I'm depressed.
