1-10:
I cannot lie; I’m blunt as a hammer but I’m never sharp
there’s nothing else except the moment; everything else is a lie (the future) or the distorted truth (the past)
I don’t judge anyone
very passionate
what is “social expectations”?
I don’t forget anything that’s pertinent to me
see “simple things” thread
what is a “head game”?
nothing is hidden
“should” is no different than a lie; everything “is”

1 ) Autistic People Rarely Lie.
Unless there is a very damn good reason for me to lie such as saving my ass from something absolutely. I am guarded though, very guarded. I will lie and push to keep people away from entering 'my world', this is the only time though. Its rare and you'll usually just get a cold boot to the face rather than having me resort to lying and dramatizing something because you're just so damn set on being part of my world when i really don't want you there.

2 ) People on the Autism Spectrum Live in the Moment

Sometimes. I do see what is here and now but I don't live in the moment. Haha, I'm very future oriented. Planner, systematizer. Yes, not so much this one.

3 ) People with Autism Rarely Judge Others
Yup. I don't care whether you're white, black, fat, skinny, short, tall. Don't care where you've been, what you've done, who you're dating. Unless you give me a starteling reason for me to notice you, I don't care and I don't like you. :)

4 ) Autistic People are Passionate
Yup. When I get in to an idea or when I get in to my music, absolutely.

5 ) People with Autism Are Not Tied to Social Expectations
Unfortunately during a bad part of my life I was a sucker to this one, however it wasn't naturally me and I absolutely hated it and hated myself for ever thinking/trying to 'fit in' it made everything worse and made my already stressful life even more stressful.

6 ) People with Autism Have Terrific Memories
Nope. Not detail oriented. However I do pick up small details often but almost always visual. Like I will remember directions to somewhere I haven't been in years by method of what was where. (take a right at the corner where the five story walk up is, walk strait until you go passed the pizza place, ect)

7 ) Autistic People Are Less Materialistic
I do what is me, I wear whatever I like. I have expencive tastes but I don't have the money and I don't care. I don't have a need to be in with the crowd material wise at all though no, I just tend to like weird s**t no one wears which is even more expencive.

8 ) Autistic People Play Fewer Head Games
Only once has this been false and it was because I couldn't do a damn thing without getting a whiplash of emotions that sent me into severe panic.

9 ) Autistic People Have Fewer Hidden Agendas
Yup. I usually wont tell you what I'm doing because I'm like that but if you ask I'll tell you bluntly.

10 ) People with Autism Open New Doors for Neurotypicals
Arn't we special. :D

Wow felt like I was reading about myself as I read the list. I'm not sure about the passionate part.

i think it is great finding an article that puts a positive light on autism

1) i probably lie more than most AS people but still much less than NTs *(especially when it gets to buying alcohol)
but i will never lie in a immoral fashion but i do lie if it is easier to lie to explain something (eg i once missed a day of school because i had a very painful knee and it reviled to be a soft knee cap cartilage and i simply told the teacher that i was sick to save explanation)

2) i always notice this and that that no one else does (eg at my school they put up posters saying "Champions read" and there are pictures professional football players reading books and i noticed one of them has Rio Ferdinand reading an empty book   )

3) i wouldn't say i would judge people often but i do now and then.

4) no disagreement here and you would agree too if you see me get so drunk i start singing

5) i don't have many expectations of other people but i do have high expectations of myself and it does make me beat myself up at times

6)my short term is terrible but i remember a lot of what happened a long time ago

7) i never really like judging things on brand names except to say one is reliable and well made and one is complete rubbish but i never say one is "cool" and another is "uncool"

8) never play mind games, don't even know how to.

9)i only have a few very hidden agendas not as much as NTs again

10)i hope so :D

6 ) People with Autism Have Terrific Memories

Today I proved myself wrong with this one and came to realize yes, i do have a fantastic memory. Not everyone remembers what they did when they were one nor will they instantly pick up something off the sidewalk without even really seeing it first. Detail isn't my strongest area but today I paid attention a little more and found out that I do pick up random details everyone misses.

8 out of 10 here. I don't really get what they're talking about in #10, and I do tend to judge people.

Other than that, though, spot on!
