Nope...he's fine with not being diagnosed.

Have you ever given your mum and grandmother information about Asperger's?

You should also tell them about all the great people who are, or are speculated to have, Asperger's.

Three examples, all very different people.

1. Albert Einstein (speculated)

2. Temple Grandin (originally diagnosed with "regular" autism, then diagnosed with Asperger's recently).

3. Susan Boyle, singer extraordinaire (I think she might be diagnosed with Asperger's).

It is not rare for a person with autism to be able to use his/her talents to his/her advantage. This is a fact; it's not a political statement. I don't get into the political aspects of things.

I have said to them but they both have said to me that a young doctor said to me when I was young that I would have Autism, i.e. I would not talk or walk meaning I would be Autistic, but this never happened, I think my mother and grandmother don't believe me because my home life isn't good, my dad drinks every night and my mum has severe depression and doesn't really eat that much any more, she also has Epilepsy with Tonic-Clonic seizures, my aunt is the only person out of my family that believes me and is helping me with notes for my Autism Diagnostic appointment (whenever I get it), she has worked with Autism NI and has spoken to the main spokesperson for the charity and she says that I have the same characteristics as the guy who had Asperger's whom my aunt was working with. I have also stated to my mum that adults can go undiagnosed with Asperger's later in life, but she doesn't believe me. :|
