yeah, he sang with Flaming Lips a while back. The rumor of why he left I'm sure isn't true, but I still wouldn't doubt if something was going on-he had some really rough looking days, lol.

I looked him up a while back, but it didn't say exactly why he left the show, I did see all of the stuff about his music and all, and heard a snippet of one of his songs called "Mighty Little Man". I can only guess he wrote the lyrics hisself, not too shabby :)

A tired man in his chair
doesn't move he only stares
at the machine across the room
there's nothing there; it's not getting through
he shakes his head, finally stands up
throws his hands up in the air
a blinding flash across the room
a sudden crash, a sonic boom
changes everything he knew
it's everything he's never seen
the biggest deal there's ever been
described in light upon the screen
(it said)
nobody else is stronger than I am
yesterday I moved a mountain
I'd like to be your hero
I am a mighty little man
from way up here you can't look down
as of now there is no ground
the microscope is turned around
don't be alarmed, don't make a fuss
he's still like you; he's one of us
and he'll come back before too long
he takes a breath and clears his mind
grabs his coat and steps outside
an empty street, there's no one there
he lifts himself into the air
a billion thoughts expressed as one
etched in words across the sun
(it said)
nobody else is stronger than I am
yesterday I moved a mountain
I'd like to be your hero
I am a mighty little man

wikipedia says that Steve Burns quit the show because he was going bald and didn't want the kids to see it??? Stupid reason in my opinion, I think there was more to it. I do agree though, there is something about Joe's looks now that just aren't right, like he has gained weight or something, He does look rough!

oh yeah, and I always thought it was a bad idea that a kid's show features a character that goes around stealing things, talk about a bad influence!

Sometimes my brother and I watch little kids shows so we can try to find innuendos in them. :o

I like "Sagwa, The Chinese Siamese Cat." It shows a favorable presentation of the Siamese, unlike the "mean" cats (really mischievous) in Lady and the Tramp.

Cartoon shows never really bothered me. They always seem so surreal that the fact Dora misses certain obvious things or Steve can't find a clue is just part of this weird alternate universe with its own set of rules. That Dora can't find things unless the kids tell her where it is, and Steve doesn't know where to look unless Blue points it out for him - I don't mind these things too much.
