In math for some the sides of the shapes are numbers and the color is the equation and it dances around like a kaleidoscope for a while and ends up with one colored shape and that is the answer to the equation.

For me the first ten numbers have color (and personality and gender). Letters not so much.

Yo! I can hear movement. If i watch someone or something movement in complete silence i can still hear it, its a weird noise and not a noise it should be making, its very hard to explain.

Although i don't think this is true synesthesia, i think its just my brain "filling in the blanks."

Still cool though,

It is very interesting to hear of all of your experiences with synesthesia!

I have a very hard time explaining my synesthesia to others, but it is very pervasive in my everyday experiences.
I have synesthesias involving a crossover of texture and smell/taste (from either direction).

This can be pleasant if I touch a fabric that is quite smooth or silky (it slightly activates my salivary glands)--or if I smell something wonderful in the air (I can feel the texture on my skin and sometimes feel cocooned in it).

However, there are certain textures and smells that I avoid all together, and I can quickly become overstimulated and completely shut down. For example, I have strong phobias of cotton balls and frozen foods (particularly the icy layer that sticks to one's skin) that completely send me into a panic. I am unable to wear scratchy clothing for this reason. I can taste AND feel the horrible textures (so it feels like I cannot get it out of my mouth or off of my skin)-- and I often get a gag reflex paired with goosebumps. Just talking about it gives me the heebie-jeebies! Strong smells (perfumes, chemicals, etc) have a similar effect where I tend to feel coated in the stuff, unable to get the taste/smell out of my mouth and nose and the texture off of my skin.

As a side note, like a few others here, I also see pictures in response to music.
