Yes, definitely do take a vacation, babybird!
I just took a week's vacation and only traveled close to home,
spent two nights at a Bed & Breakfast in Amish Country
which is only a short drive for me,
then spent the rest of the time hanging around my apartment
(well, made a few trips out to attend
an art show I was in,
a painting class,
and a different art show where I walked around and enjoyed the work of other artists)
and going to restaurants for meals
instead of cooking and doing dishes.
It was all super relaxing, especially walking around in Amish Country,
going birdwatching and watching the sunset
while hearing and seeing horses and buggies go clip-clopping down the road.
Like Noca suggests,
massages are also a very good thing.
Also, magnesium can help ...
either get more in your diet,
(I like sushi)
or soak in an Epsom salt bath,
or put a mixture of Epsom salts and water on your face / temples
(but please don't get any in your eyes ... that stings really bad.)
Sounds great.
I love Amsterdam but as I said in another thread, my passport ran out in March.
I could just stay in this country though.
The bath salts sound like a nice thing as well. I will definitely look into that.
