I know a guy with a wife and a kid and he is still into Pokemon. But you're right, a lot of these people will forget about it after the fad passes. It's kind of weird to see your interest become popular. But some will continue to be interested in it after the fad moves on and others have been into Pokemon all along.

A lot of people on the spectrum give off a vibe that they don't want to be bothered, even if you might be open to making friends. While you're out looking for Pokemons, if you happen to see a person who you might like to be friends with or know you could consider talking to them first.

Perhaps I am being obtuse but your post strikes me as rather vague.

Are you fearful that once the interest in the titular game invariably dwindles that you will no longer have anyone to talk to about it?

Or do you see this as an excellent time to make friends but are worried that you will miss the opportunity as the game's popularity diminishes?

It's not a single player game. It uses GPS to spawn pokemon/pokemon centers/gyms in the area, and you have to walk to them to get benefits. That means large crowds can gather in good pokemon go areas, and it encourages walking.

All I can say is that so far I do not want to get into it. I spend enough time on what I'm already playing. Ofc I've never been all that much into Pokemon so that helps.

It's a GPS Related game where you go to places to catch pokemon, Get Items and Gyms. By Very nature there is going to be other people there.

I went to town and what a sight... People were almost walking accidentally into the traffic while chasing the invisible... :D

I don't think the other players will mind you being there too.
