Thanks Anagram, great stuff! This inspires me, too.

I know what your mean. I find acrylics difficult because they dry so quickly and I like to take time to blend colour how I want. I usually use a retarder to keep them moving for longer but it's still a struggle. I prefer oils when I can afford it and cope with the terps, or gouache when I can't. They do sell well though becuase they don't need any special care once they're dry.

True enough. I've tried watercolors but they're very unforgiving and skill-intensive. I still love them, just need a lot more practice.

I might just be looking out of date information.

Sounds like you have a project. I was told that Salvador Dali drew like an angel. Which confused me to no end as a child. His "Fantasia" inspired drawings were very strange, with disembodied eyes, hands,.. . There was no way an angel could imagine such strangeness :)

He is diagnosed. He discussed it in the booklet I have for a Tubeway Army album. It's actually what made me learn more about Asperger's and find my way here. I've also seen him discuss it in an interview with The Guardian done in the past couple years.

Electro-pop musician Adam Young aka Owl City (hit song: "Fireflies") is confirmed to have been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome.

Dubstep/House producer Savant is an Autistic Savant who, due to music being his special interest, can produce songs at an extremely accelerated rate. His condition was the inspiration behind his name.

David Byrne, of the Talking Heads, seems Aspergian to me.

I thought about mentioning him too. What other type of person would sing "Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens," or call an album More Songs About Buildings and Food? His stare and body language certainly seem that way, and he's talked about it a bit in interviews, right?

I'm on the verge of setting up an art business. It will likely consist of commissions and prints of commissions etc

I think Byrne alluded to Aspergers in interviews, like you stated. I remember reading something like this.
