I used to use an emoji that I thought meant "thinking about something", then one day I hovered over it with my mouse and it said "kissing"! So now I'm very careful with them.

As other people have said, I use the smiling one because people tend to think I'm being sarcastic otherwise.

I use them just as excessively as any teenage girl when texting. This includes non-facial ones.
