I've had situations like that before. I hate the way people will say one thing, but mean another, like saying "I'm fine" or "don't worry about it" when really they expect something to be done about it or changed. So then when I say that to mean I really am OK and I've dealt with it, people don't take that as an answer. They start trying to fix things and giving me options (options that would clearly inconvenience them), which confuses me and then I DO get upset because I don't know how to resolve the situation. To make matters worse, the other people will think I'm upset over the original issue (such as not having a ticket for a movie, not enough space in the car, etc.) which does not help may social standing one bit. It's frustrating because having the focus of your stress misinterpreted is like being wrongfully accused of something and treated accordingly.

Well, I do think that past situations that have had strange, amorphous outcomes are worth pondering over and considering possible different courses of action, for future reference. I think it's allowed for me to think about these things.
