Yes. I have no sensory issues. My boyfriend (who also has AS) has some hearing sensory issues, but we are all different people.

I don't think you have to have sensory issues, although you may not recognize them and think that what may actually be an abnormality is "normal". The DSM-IV does not state that you have to have them for a DX.

My sister for example loves to say that all her odd traits are "normal". Everyone can hear the fridge run and "many" people are "bothered" by it. She has a lot of OCD and AS traits, although I think she definately falls short of a DX for AS and probably at this point for OCD. You can tell in many ways that we are sisters though!

I can hear the fridge run- is that not typical? It doesn't bother me though. I can hear most things that run on electricity actually, for instance the TV and the stereo, if they are on even if they are not playing anything.
