I like dancing, but my kind of dancing is somewhat violent and jumpy. It's nothing similar to how most people dance... and it's one of the reasons I don't enjoy parties, because if I start dancing everybody will stare and laugh. I love dancing by myself though.

I'm sure I have AS, but I haven't been diagnosed. Unless you have a dancing videogame, I don't like to dance. I enjoy playing Pump It Up or Dance Dance Revolution, but I hate dancing in weeding parties and similar events.

Nevertheless, I have a friend, and maybe he's aspie too, he likes dancing with or without music too, he always is moving his arms and legs. Well, I'm not sure he has AS, but he has a lot of my traits.

Dancing is one of my favorite activities. I started taking dance classes sometime in 2003, and I was amazed how much I liked it. The moves were fairly easy to learn, and the instructors taught them in a very aspie-friendly way (probably unintentionally). Ever since, I've been going back, pretty much on an on-and-off basis. So now, four years later, I'm a fairly good dancer, and girls even complimented me on that.

It is certainly possible. I'm considered talented at dancing.

I dance like a stick figure with palsey. Nonetheless I do it al lot - happy happy joy joy when alone. I walk into things and have longhand that I cannot read. I cannot play music nor throw or catch balls.

On the other hand, I drive well, an a marksman with rifle, and on a motorcycle (the old days) was fast. How fast? Several guys who had thought themselves fast had to alter their opinions after meeting me.

Funny this coordination stuff.

Practice can improve skills up to a point. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_Fit - The most dramatic, temporary improvements to some gross and fine motor control skills are associated with medicines but the effects are only temporary (and therefore limited). X-ref: Parkinson's, Awakenings (movie) with Robin Williams. That's my understanding.
