I don't like brands on clothes, just clothes that perfom their function. The idea of buying things for their brand's sake is stupid, and the brand marks are annoying.

Buttons do to me what labels do to you. They're annoying & distracting little thingies. I haven't worn shirts with buttons on them since 1971.
I don't like seeing small buttons on other people either. Unfortunately, people have continued to wear buttoned shirts ever since 1971, without asking me whether perhaps I might have a problem with that. Such shirts seem impractical, too. It's much more work to put them on than it is to put on a T-shirt or a sweater. So why do they exist?

I rarely rip labels out of my clothes.

There must be lot of people out there, NTs too, who hates labels because companies are making shirts that have built in labels.

Oh, great thread....I though I was the only one who hated tags! And wool jumpers suck too!

Who comes up with this stuff?

I wear the Hanes Tagless white t-shirts under everything that way no tags touch my skin.

That's why I started making my own clothes, because the ones from shops ALWAYS have labels or seams in uncomfortable places.
And yes, I always ripped the labels out.

I do think it can annoy some NTs but I think the companies do it to save money as well....sewing in the labels had just become an industry standard and they have since developed the technology to print the labels on the cloth instead.I am sure this saves a lot of time and money for those sewing the clothes.

Labels on the back of the neck don't really bother me. What bothers me is when they put them on the side of the shirt and they poke me in the side. I always cut those off.

Yeah those are the worst ones, I've got used to the ones on the back of my neck more now.

I finally found some t shirts that fit really well. They are long enough that they don't ride up and show skin when I bend over. And they don't shrink in length when I wash them (most brands are long enough to start with, but then when you wash them they seem to shrink exclusively in length and not in width, which is just annoying). Anyway, they are sort of tagless. They have the stuff printed in the back of the neck. So it really confuses me about why they have a tag in the side?? And it's one of those really pointy tags, too. But I really like the shirts, and they are cheap, so I get them and then have to spend 15 minutes on each one to cut out the tag with tiny scissors.

Necks on shirts are a big issue for me. When I was little, my mom always tried to get me to wear turtlenecks, and it didn't work. I always felt like I was being strangled. I still have issues with some t shirts, and some days are worse than others. Some days when I'm getting dressed, I have to change my shirt 4 or 5 times because it's choking me or uncomfortable or I don't like the color that day.

I know of a few brands that don't have clothing tags. Hanes from Wal-Mart doesn't, Disney Store doesn't anymore, and some of Limited Too's clothes don't.

I give labels a chance. If they scratch, I cut them out. And yeah the ones in the side of the garment are more irritating than the neckline ones. Or in the back of trousers or knickers can drive me bonkers. Sometimes it's the stitching that's irritating rather than the label itself, especially if its nylon 'invisible' thread.
