I like saying: It's all quiet on the Western Front.

Sometimes. It seems most often for me though that a movie quote or animal noise will pop into my head and then I'll replicate the sound or quote I'm hearing in my head.

There are certain films that if I watch them I cant get them out of my head and quote them for days and try use the quotes in everyday life e.g Monty Python films - get in someones way and say "None shall pass"

"Neeh!"

I never found a suitable situation to use that quote but now it's going round & round in my head  .

I do this a lot. It makes me feel like I'm going mad.

I get words stuck in my head and they do the perma loop repeat thing. I have been this way as long as I can recall. As a kid I would sing song my loop words... still do now and then, though more so as a child. Phuh-nom-in-nah-nom-in-uh and in-due-bid-uh-due-bah-dee come to mind. But I would repeat them each on their own over and over.. not together, but just two separate examples there. I don't always distort words into sing song though. Sometimes it might be just a single word, not distorted at all that perma loops for a bit. I wonder about that sometimes... like where did that word come from? Was it in a commercial, on a box of cereal in my cupboard? Nine times out of ten I never do figure it out.

Are you consistent in how often you do this? Or does it happen more or less depending on different circumstances or situations?

My GF just told me that the most annoying quote I used for far too long was "Save me Jeebus" , and I was apparently very good at getting into conversation.

I do this though usually with names of ppl or my cat. I didn't know it was an autistic trait until this year.

I have two phrases like this that I can't shake, they just pop up in my head without invitation. They're both objectively negative (one is a deadpan 'kill me'), but they don't make me feel bad, they're just there.

I do this with mechanical noises; when I feel compelled to replicate a sound, my version is usually uncannily accurate, to the point where I wonder if I made the original sound without realising it :? . I don't do it when I'm with company though, that would be weird  .

ha ha , I don't even see it as a problem as it's such an automatic responce, you've made me paranoid now I'll have to monitor it :D

I do very, very often. Animal noises. Those usually start because of cats or Guinea pigs and sometimes the rats making noises. Also other noises I use and then end up repeating a lot for fun.
