I stay on Wrong Planet because I find some of the topics interesting and I can reach out to people who can relate to me. It's nice to find people who are going through the same kind of situations I am, and I like getting their feedback. I find this site to be rather fun and we Aspies can stick together.

No, not everybody knows my name, but they do seem to understand me. :)

My area (and many) lack resources and support. THIS is my refuge.

I generally post (and remain) on 'WrongPlanet' to boost discussions on important topics that receive too little attention!

I assess other forums, and news on Aspergers, yet I most often come back to 'WrongPlanet' - as WP has become "the go-to" standard!

People here are usually more reasonable than people on other social media platforms, and it's easier to discuss things in a civil manner. Also, I can talk about autism issues here without people going "OMG I'm so sorry you have to deal with this terrible struggle" or just shaking their heads at me. I'm sure the latter happens more often here than I'm aware of, though.

Why not? I don't have many better things to do, I can also learn more about myself.

Just passing the time, and vaguely hoping for some social solutions. I have pretty much no one I could invite to go see a movie that interests me this weekend who isn't family, and to rely on for some company, and am out of options for how to meet new people.

This forum helped me grow alot & I even met my 2nd & current girlfriend on here. Also I had problems on other forums that I don't have here.

I show up here now and then for a few reasons, I guess. One reason would be an information/advice/idea seeking thing. Another reason would be to simply be around like minded people. Not to say even a majority will relate to me, nor will I relate to a majority, but there's a better chance that will happen here than anywhere else... sometimes that is what I want. Sometimes this place just amuses me when I am bored. I dunno. I'm here today for something to do while finishing my coffee. *shrugs*

The light moderation and a chance to hang out with like-minded people. I also like to learn about the experiences of others who are on the spectrum. I can also get away with minor things that I couldn't get away with on other forums.

Because, for those individuals who come to WrongPlanet.net and need advice, I and others offer help. If the site did nothing else, that would be enough for most people.

Frankly, I wish that the site didn't have a Politics, Philosophy, and Religion subforum. Regardless of intent, that subforum alone causes too much anger and strife, and pushes people away ... sometimes forever. In fact, I believe that the site would be much more cohesive and friendly if the subforums were fewer -- say, five -- each of which would include more generalized topics.

For myself (and I advise this to others), I add my opinion to topics when I believe that it might help others, or I feel in a humorous mood. I also decrease the obsessive effects of social media by unsubscribing from each topic after I make a single post or three.

Because I'm addicted mostly, I can't find another site that is similar, and I feel I can often talk about how I feel and other things safely and comfortably here when trying to elsewhere is difficult or frightening. And there are people here with special interests similar to mine that I can share my views with, when such people offline seem to be non-existent.

This is something I am curious about. I think this forum can sometimes bring people down and take many others aback over what has been said. I am wondering why I spite of that do people stay on this forum and post regularly?

I can only answer for myself and that is that a part of me finds the dynamics of the forum interesting, that as well as the fact I can discuss all the things I am interested in here.
