Apparently it's a matter of degree: The boy keeps on interrupting with questions. While the girl doesn't take her literally because of previous experiences.

So either that was poor wording they did there or I took it literal. I thought he had his hand raised and wouldn't put it down, not that he had it raised and kept on asking questions before being called. :D

I was taught as a kid to always raise your hand and wait until the teacher calls on you before you talk. That was the rule we had in our classroom.
