I guess just clothes that are colors I like and aren't dirty with no holes or rips. But all I wear is t shirts, jeans when it's cooler outside, and shorts. I have a very basic style of clothing.

Hey Mr. Drew.

Could we shake hands? I'm sorry I got you upset.

I just like to kid around sometimes.

I assume you're referring to me? I already tried to apologise when I said "If that was not your intention, then I apologise." but you ignored it. I think we have completely different senses of humour and I just don't get yours. Shaking hands? Fine, consider your hand shaken but please don't call me Drew and Andy or any other diminutive, that's not my name. Andrew is fine.

I'll take a look. I didn't see the apology. I didn't ignore the apology. I was in a bit of a rush today. I apologize. I didn't read the last line of that thread, which was your apology until just now. My mistake.

I thought "Drew" was your last name. And I thought your name referred to "live and rue." I didn't think it was Andrew.

I have a friend named Andrew. I would never call him "Andy" or "Drew."

I could care any less about the way I look.

But people are cruel and needy, while many would coax me to out of 'concern'. So I have to do them 'service'. Social 'service'.

My weight is a huge factor in how I perceive myself and limits how I can dress so it's hard to say how I would choose to look and dress if I wasn't overweight. For a long time I've been anxious and obsessive over various aspects of my appearance but I wouldn't say I've been vain. I just lack confidence and have low self esteem.
So I care a lot in that regard but these days I can leave the house with my hair tied back and minimal to no make-up.

I care about the way I look because I depend on my good looks to make up for my less charming aspie behavior, plus looking attractive makes me feel better about myself. When I was a little kid I didn't care, but as I got older I realized making myself look attractive and stylish caused me to be bullied less. People started to see me as quirky and interesting instead of a frumpy weirdo. In high school, people started picking on me less after I started dressing goth because they were scared of me. Dressing goth made me look mysterious and slu*ty which caused the jocks to flirt with me when no one was around to witness.

I can't leave the house unless my hair is styled perfectly or hidden under a beanie...

i could not care less about the way i look.
as long as i do not suffer consequences from dressing a certain way it is not of interest to me.

if i go to a funeral, i will get a haircut and wear nice clothes.
if i had to go to court for something, i would likewise dress to ameliorate any impression a judge may have of me.

but beyond that, i have no interest in it.

i shave when i start to feel stubble on my face which i hate the sensation of. not to look clean.

an interesting story.............

my father had a friend called mr gates, and he was a multi millionaire retired lawyer, and he had a starlight blue rolls royce silver shadow, and he had a property of 1,400 hectares which was very picturesque.
he was worth about 35 million dollars, but when he grew old, he let his beard grow and his hair grow, and he was grey.

he also used to wear overalls which were completely worn out and gumboots on his feet.

one day, he wanted to buy a new house in "tuncurry, NSW" and he went into a real estate agents office, and when he entered the office, he heard someone say "good grief! here comes Moses"

they completely dismissed him as a worthless hobo, and told him they had nothing that would be within his budget, so he left, and when he walked out, they followed him out of the agents office to muse over the "wastrel", and when he hopped into his rolls royce, one of them ran toward him and knocked on his window and said they had found some properties he could afford, but he just drove away.

that was very amusing to me.

Only as far as to not look like a total disaster. I take regular showers, I keep my mouth hygiene in check, I wear clean clothes. That's all, really.

Yes, I do care. I try to keep my weight down, keep my hair nice, and I really like clothes (especially long hippy skirts) and jewellery.

I remember asking a store clerk if they had some better pants than the ones I bought there last year. "What's wrong with them?" she asked.
"They don't Cover me anymore" I responded, due to a rip in the seat.
I just want to blend in, and can't bother with fashion. Almost all my clothes are from thrift shops. Half the time, I look pretty shaggy to the locals, but not so much if I was in entertainment.
It sounds as if you read a generalization based on a less extreme average.

Fashion and such is sort my "obsession", you could say. But I find that I buy a lot of clothes just to have them, I honestly don't wear 50% of what I have. Maybe that's just me?

In a way, I can't stand my hair being short. (I was forced to have it short all the time as a kid because my head was always itching and I would cut it to make it easier to scratch my head...instead of seeking out a reason to why I was so itchy, I was just forced to have my hair cut. I always had the "bowl" cut and was always being mistaken for a boy.)

My clothes must always have SOMETHING animal related on them. I think this is an OCDish compulsion and why I'm getting a meerkat tattoo someday.
