Generally avoid people, when needed I ask them to explain what they are attempting to communicate in greater detail. Sometimes they will get annoyed but eventually they will help. Work out mentally what seems like the most logical action and do that, hopefully I worked it out correctly. This applies to situations where people try to convey things using gestures which I find very difficult to decipher.

I work in an Office where I cannot avoid people and have learnt to try to read people through voice inflection. I cannot read faces and have given up trying. It seems to work when talking to NT's is unavoidable. I do talk to people, but less than most and do seem to get by.

Talking is a struggle most of the time, but I have learned how to lip read, which helps me understand people a bit better. I look at people's mouths when I talk to them, so I do not have to make eye contact. I'm more a mix of an introvert and extrovert,so I get energy from being alone or from other people. Can't help stims, sometimes tics, when people are around though.
