AS isn't easy to figure out like a broken arm or something. It's not always easy or obvious that someone has it, and most people have probably never even heard of it until recently. Asking questions on here is a great resource for people.

Isn't that contradicting? If it's so DIFFICULT to figure out then what makes US the perfect candidates to diagnose it? Huh? What is he going to gain from us that a doctor won't tell him?

NTs are so f***ing STUPID. O NOEZ, BOOHOO, I DON'T GET ALONG WITH PEOPLE. I MUST SEARCH FOR A NEUROLOGICAL ILLNESS TO EXPLAIN WHY I'M AN EPIC FAILURE. They completely overlook every other symptom and ONLY go for the social problems.

Isn't that an ignorant stereotype?

And I already said why people trying to figure this out should post here. And it's not for a "diagnosis", but to get more information. It's a good starting point along with reading info about it, taking tests, etc. Just randomly going to a doctor isn't going to do much good, certainly without understanding it a bit better.

And you act as though it's automatically someone's fault if they have social problems but not AS. It's not. And Alex has said this forum is open for NTs with social issues, etc. too.

*I'm* getting tired of posts telling people not to post. Just ignore it if it bothers you.

ARGH. WE ARE NOT DOCTORS. WE DO NOT KNOW IF YOU HAVE AS. GO ASK YOUR DOCTOR. I'm sick of these people who come on here, throw out their life story like they expect us to diagnose them, and generally just begin using OUR ACTUAL ILLNESS as an excuse to why they've failed to ever accomplish anything.

It's highly unlikely that a doctor would diagnose this in my country as I said they don't know about Asperger's. What life story are you dreaming of, i just discribed the way i am , didn't tell any life story? And I am proud of what i have achieved, I graduated a good university, i have a reasonably good job, i'm not a falure, i tend to say maybe you are failure more than me (judging from your angry frustrated post)
Well, moronic replies like this make me think it was a mistake ever posting here. I'll keep on reading if i ever find anything interesting, will never post here anymore. I know most people are nice but it takes just a few idiots to really make me sick of ever posting anything here. This forum is about telling delicate personal matters not an IT forum and it's really annoying when i read such replies, it's like i'm hit where it hurts.
Thanks to everybody who gave me nice or at least reasonable replies.Above post really disgusted me, so topic closed (and i will never ever open another one here) as far as I'm concerned. I'm going to "reader" mode.

I think he's been spamming a bunch of messages recently like that. A lot of people have tried to tell him and the others that do that that it's hurtful, but they keep doing it :(

Anyway please don't take it personally, and I hopefully you'll get something useful out of the forum :)

well, you know i have said such things before, but it is not meant to be hurtful.
im not gonna make a habit of it :D
if you self-aware, you dont need a doctor, but if you are young and are having problems, then listening to a bunch of people on an internet forum telling you you have AS is not gonna help.
Not like a diagnosis is gonna change anything.
Anyway, welcome to WP :P
