This is too confusing! I can't wrap my head around it if that the right saying. Do I have Asperger or Autism level 1?

What was called Asperger's is now (in USA) or will be (worldwide) called Autistic Spectrum Disorder. I think most are level 1, but I have seen some as level 2. Sorry I'm not explaining well. You can say either I think.

Thanks for explaining. Why call it Autism Spectrum Disorder? My mom did tell me that Aspergers have a hard time with change.

Because Aspergers is a condition on the Autism Spectrum… I guess they wanted to simplify it. I just don’t understand the different levels being dependent on the amount of support, but they don’t explain what support was intended for each level.

I call is Asperger's no matter what the "experts" call it these days. This whole high-functioning low-functioning thing is a load of crap. There are so-called LF people who can do things a HF person like myself can only dream about, like being able to assemble a computer piece-by-piece.

They first thought it was its own thing, but now they see it's not, so they merged it into one label. And yeah what your mom said is true.

I will continue calling it Asperger, I been calling it that for 20 years. And my sister & grandmother knows I have Asperger.
