I wouldn't bother reading too much into the label, really. Sort of reminds me of Puff Daddy or Jennifer Lopez thinking anybody gives a crap about their nicknames or that they mean anything.

I agree. And henceforth, I'd like to be known as "a person living with masculinity", and perhaps "a person living with medial chronal advancement".

I'm living with marriage to a person living with femininity, as well as a person living with African ancestry, and a person living with motherhood. There are also two people living with childhood in my house.

(Have I hit the point of reductio ad absurdum yet?)

I agree, aspie sounds too cute like little puppies, I don't mind that though.

I want a pet Aspie.
I'd love it and play with it and take care of it.

Aspies are cute, intelligent, and easily trained - so long as you explain the rules to them.

I am my own pet!

I am also a person living with exess tallth.

This reminds me of another peeve, pronouncing "asperger's" with "ger's" instead of "jer's" or going all lazy with the "p" sound. For my taste, I like the "asper" to sound more like one syllable than two. But then I am just an ordinary person living with OCD alongside other just ordinary persons living with various patience limitation conditions associated with enduring OCD issues arising from such ordinary persons as would be living with any such offending OCD issues.

I don't like "Aspie" just because it SOUNDS like an insult. I don't know why, but I hate the word.

"Asperger's" is pronounced with "ger's" and not with "jer's"... 8O

^Because it is a German word.

I first read the word "aspie" in one of Donna Williams' books.

It would have 'ass' on it, like a buttocks-sandwich, propbably not a good thing. although your other burgers will also have at least some ass content. ye am thinking buttocks, could be a donkey burger i guess.

People say that "aspie" isn't a real word as it isn't in the dictionary, but "asperger syndrome" isn't in the dictionary either. Hell, you're lucky if you can find a ten word defenition for autism, let alone asperger's or aspie.
