My heart used to pound 24/7 because of anxiety, but it didn't kill me. I don't think a little excitement over your interests will do you harm. :o

Yeah, if the symptoms of anxiety and excitement were that dangerous I wouldn't have reached this ripe old age!

When I'm thinking about history or talking about cats or listening to Rammstein or something, I'm sure my heart beats faster sometimes. And I start stimming really badly. I get this in lectures when it's a really exciting lecture and then I feel like an idiot afterwards when someone else in my class says "that was boring, wasn't it?" Does everyone else get this when they're reading about their obsession or talking about it etc? It makes me happy though, which is good. But maybe it's more like an addiction, because it's only ever temporary.
I won't end up having a history-induced heart attack or someything, will I?
I don't want my favourite thing in life to be the death of me.

I believe is just the excitement, when you are very thrilled and excited about something or someone you absolutly adore your heart bits faster, and your body functions different, is normal.
Maybe not the best example but my nephew got very excited watching Power Rangers for the second time (he already saw it once before) and he literally peed in his pants :D

Yeah, I think this is a pretty normal reaction when excited. As for the people who find these things boring - I just feel sorry for them because I think it is sad that they can't seem to find the same enjoyment in certain subjects as I can.

It might be worth learning some breathing exercises if you are worried about your heart rate - but I really don't think there is any cause for concern.

When I see something very exciting in TV or in the Internet, especially things that are of big interest of me, I always need to do the so called "reboot stimming".
