Does this get to anyone ?
To me, the car gets hot even when it is in the 70s.
Cars really have a way of overheating pretty rapidly.
My wife always says that I should try to live with a little heat and humidity (when she doesn't feel like air-conditioning).
She thinks I'm not "ambitious" enough in trying to deal with the heat.

We ive in an era at least here in the states where unless you are sleeping you are expected to be doing several things at once. Many people talk on the phone and work while eating these days.
When I was young family dinner time was considered almost sacred. On nice summer days people sat out relaxed, they read a book, listened to the radio or just soaked up the sun. Now they do work on the laptop or phone.

I get people getting on to me for only working part-time. I say that I get easily tired, overwhelmed and stressed, but they just say that "everybody feels that way but still have to work". But I tell ya, stress can affect Aspies differently. There's a young man with Asperger's who works at my place, and he did 4 long days in a row a few weeks ago, and that emotionally did him in so much, that he had a nervous breakdown and was in hospital for nearly 2 weeks. Now he's on meds to help him stay calm, but his family don't want him to work too much, so are looking for help and support. But I know NTs who work more than that and mentally stay fine, and are just physically tired, although some NTs can struggle emotionally with full-time work.
It is frightening, I know. People make you feel like you are just being lazy and that you don't understand the importance of money. Maybe it looks like that to them. But it isn't. I wish I could work more hours in a busy sort of job where you are interacting all day, but I know that would go against my stupid brain wiring.

Overall, I was happy with my neuropsychological testing and diagnosis. The testing was very comprehensive; the analysis was professionally done; and the conclusions were almost all accurate based on my own self-reflection and research.
There was one conclusion that I did not agree with. They postulated that I had a fear of making mistakes; that that created severe anxiety; that that (either directly or by triggering me to procrastinate or compulsively double check all my work) was the reason behind my slow processing speed; that, if I only tried to fix this, I could.
But, I disagree with this. I have never noticed even a single thought about the consequences of making a mistake. I have never noticed any feelings of anxiety when working. I only consciously "procrastinate" when there is something that I need to do before hand to prepare for the task. I only "double check" my work when I have forgotten some piece of information needed to actually do the task (What do I need to do? How do I do it? What have I done?).
I do notice very often that I have to wait for my brain to interpret what I am listening to, what I am looking at, or what I just did. I believe my processing speed is slow because my brain takes a while to process. I believe that this is just something I struggle with, and that there is nothing I can do to improve it because I am already trying to do just that.
So this assumption hurt my feelings because I pride myself on trying to be humble (yes, I see the irony) and learning from my mistakes.

No one seems to believe me that I cannot work (except maybe my disability lawyer (I do not know if that is his personal opinion or he just wants money) and for sure my sister) without requiring accommodations that would cost the employer more money than I would ever earn and cause me more stress than I could ever relieve.

I get this a lot with the dissonance between cognitive ability and functional ability.
Because I'm "smart" and can understand, people expect me to be equally capable at doing.
When I tell them I can't do even simple things that everyone derides as suitable only for stupid people (this came up in reference to an employment agency claiming that I should be able to at least work fast food, because anyone can do that - note, I don't think anyone who works in fast food is stupid, rather they did) because of my low functional level, they get angry and tell me I'm being difficult and trying to get out of things. Because obviously, if you can understand well, you should have the ability to function equally well in their estimation.
I see this kind of behaviour discrepancy in savants (which is definitely not me, sadly, but the behaviour inconsistencies are similar) - they may be an absolute prodigy in all things music, for example, but cannot feed themselves.
People don't understand this kind of uneven level of ability is common in autism.

Low-Verbal.
There 's a tendency for people to presume that good verbal ability means you have good non verbal/practical ability . Hence the ignorant negativity that can be directed at you if your non verbal abilities don’t match up with your verbal abilities.
On this issue a lot of people are just not very understanding or tolerant.
My mother used to think I was passive aggressive when I was a child, because she did not understand my behavior at the time, and thought I was upset with her. The reality was, I completely lacked the theory of mind to be passive aggressive and the concept of being upset with her was not a concept I was capable of. I didn't get upset with people at that point in my development. I got upset with situations. One of my siblings once ate all of my valentine's day candy when I was 7 and I wasn't upset at my sibling. I was upset at the fact that my candy was gone.
