Don't worry I promise it's a painless process. If you're that worried though try bringing a friend. Tell the dentist your worries and concerns. He or She will tell you about how the process works and if necessary make adjustments for you. Good luck! Private message me if you still feel worried. I've had 4 fillings and four wisdom teeth removed and none of which I ever experienced pain. A little swelling after the wisdom teeth but nothing I couldn't handle!

I use to be very afraid of the dentist and as a child I had to be put to sleep for dental work.

Got over the fear in my 30s.

Got my impacted wisdom teeth out a few years ago I was prettified for many weeks in advance and I had nightmares before it.
The day was uneventful and a bit of an anti-climax.
As regards my wisdom teeth the thing I most remember is the weeks of worry beforehand which I inflected on myself.

Toothache is many many times worse than anything the dentist can do to you and I know that from bitter experience.

Have a dentist visit on Saturday there is a small pang in a back tooth.
I am not worried about the visit to the dentist I am however worried I will get a fill blown toothache before Saturday.

I am not saying I enjoy dental work these days but I don't worry about it now.

Going to the dentist is not a big deal we would be in a very sorry state without them.

One more post to you as I remember my childhood fear of dental work it is was crippling.

I can honestly say you have nothing to worry about nothing at all.

I am in the dentist on Saturday myself the day after you I think I need a tooth pulled and I need a couple of fillings.

I had a big job done like that when I was ten I was pertrified for ages beforehand the day itself was not the big deal I had worried about really.

Trust me the fear is in your head only these guys are really good and their job and the drugs they use are wonderful you feel nothing.

As regards advice follow the instrustions of the dentist and when you the job is finished and you realise you were worrying about noting remember this.
It is important to keep your mouth clean after this work for a week or two rinse your mouth out with warm salt water or mouth wash.
He might tell you to eat soft food for a little while also.

[quote]In the medical field a Papoose Board is a temporary medical stabilization board used to limit a patient’s freedom of movement to decrease risk of injury while allowing safe completion of treatment. The term "papoose board" refers to a brand name on the company that made it./quote]

It other words it just to keep you from moving about when you need to be still nothing to worry about.

With the drugs you will get you might feel a little giddy like being a little drunk and happy.
They drugs feel nice but it's difficut to follow intrustions and stay still once they are in your system.

The board just keeps you still so the denist can do it job in a safe manner.

With the gas and meds there is a very high chance you won't even remember the treatment.

A couple of years ago I got my wisdom teeth out I remember getting into the chair and getting the meds.
I remember the dentist asking me to get out of the chair.
I asked is he not starting yet and he told me it was all finished.

Your treatment is not until Friday why don't you try and focus on something else.

Your mind has built up this event to be much bigger then it really is.

Play a game watch a movie or maybe have a meal you really enjoy.
You will be eating soft food for a little while after treatment anyway.

Talking about it and thinking about it is building up your fear.

The fear is in your head only.

Once you get the meds you won't be able to feel fear.

Waiting around thinking about it is many times worse then the treatment. :D
