Seems to me that you (Ramsus) don't particularly like having Asperger's. What confuses me about this is you're on this forum so much. If you don't like having it, why socialise with others that have the same problem?

I'm a lifeless antisocial prick who can't do anything in real life without being kicked out. What better do I have to do with my time?

AS is not an illness.

Notice how I said.. CONDITION OR ILLNESS. And also! I would imagine one would realize I'm not limiting this to only AS.

Fair enough.

Carry on :D

oh, oh, pick me, teacher! I know I know!!

He is probably totally disgusted with himself and hopes to ease his pain by lashing out on others that have come to terms with their own suffering because he hasn't gotten to that place of acceptance yet!

it is usually referred to as "sour grapes" from the Aesop's Fable of the fox that could not reach the grapes so he convinced himself they were probably sour anyway.

for what it's worth, Ramsus, the reason I know is because that is "my problem", too!
I keep judging my insides by looking at other people's outsides and come up lacking.

I don't think that having AS/ASD traits is bad at all.

That's YOUR opinion, which doesn't mean jack sh** in comparison to the multitude of others who would disagree. Having children, when you know you'll pass on some sort of condition or illness to them, is outright cruel and selfish. It's no differant than a dwarf having kids, or a woman in her forties trying to pump out a kid.. KNOWING the child will likely have problems due to being born to an older mother. Humans are so f***ing selfish.

You can't not have kids because something might go wrong, if everyone thought like this no one would ever have kids. I don't know one person who hasn't had anything bad happen to them in their life, but that doesn't mean it would be better if they had never been born.

sorry this is off-topic. back to the origional question i'm not sure if a society where aspies are in the majority could function.

Nice thought! :D For the AS males, that would solve FOUR problems in one fell swoop! It's almost a shame that honor, economics, society, and hygiene dictate that the males should stick to one woman. 8-( I mean men don't have to physically wait 9 months to have only a chance at perhaps only one child.

Don't pay attention to ramsus! I MIGHT have said the same thing a few years back(Although I wouldn't call you names or submit you to such vituperation!), but before say 25 it was fine with me, and the span in between was things I couldn't fully blame AS for.

FRANKLY, when I was a young kid I said I NEVER wanted to have kids because the WORLD was so bad, and headed down FAST! But it is heading RIGHT where I thought it would! And HOW accurate have my predictions been? Well I predicted that an event like 9/11 would happen on US soil, due to moslem extremists, about 3 WEEKS before it happened! NO JOKE!! !! WHY???? Because the Israelis and Palestinians were having HEAVY deaths and escalations. I understand the moslem extremists VERY well. They had to realize that the Israelis could NEVER be defeated because even if they had an atomic bomb and blew them sky high, and killed every jew within 3 thousand miles of there that they THEMSELVES would soon be blown off the map. So their next step was to attack THE major ally and supporter. That is the US. Why others couldn't see that is beyond me!

Anyway, if I ***KNEW*** that so much of me was GENETIC and apparently DOMININANT, and figured I could spread it all over, I probably WOULD have, just to try to save the next generation. The world is still here, which is what I didn't expect, but the degredation IS escalating! I don't like the way prospects look NOW! So I think if there were a LOT of HFA and/or AS people around that were moderately successful that it would be better for EVERYONE! NT as well as AS!

Ramsus,

You're looking like a low class foul mouthed, angry, idiot(Sorry, just telling the TRUTH!). And Kris ***DID*** understand YOU, so you are being hypocritical in claiming a right to tell HIM off!

people are strange and confuse me. do they confuse you and is this an interesting thought?

I am actually not sure, but I think it would be the same
I think it would be also discrimination, no matter who is the majority, no matter who is in power, there will be always other groups who will be rejected, probably.
Part of the human nature I suppouse.

AS isnt really all that debilitating. Its not like having no arms or anything. Most AS problems seem to be revolve around living in a world thats slightly at odds to the way our minds work. OK, so having a stim because the lights are flickery is debilitating, but there are fairly easy ways around it. If our environment is under our control, we can often function extremely well. I heard a tale of a woman who had her house decorated in mismatched primary colours, because it helped her be calm, in dirct contravention of accepted logic which says that calmness is provided by soft pastel shades, hence why all hospitals are pale green, and most government buildings are beige. By controlling her own environment, she has become much happier than previous. The old adage goes "an englishman's home is his castle".. so by extension "an aspies home is his secure refuge against the ret*d lack of common sense that is the NT world." Its not all downsides. I happen to rather enjoy being a crapload smarter than most people I meet, and knowing a great deal about certain pet subjects, and tbh the desire to socialise tends to wear off as you get older anyway. Paying ten quid to stand in a smokey room full of sweaty teenagers and listen to someone elses record collection gets a bit tired eventually. All the weird little tics and rapid hand motions and suchlike dont bother anyone I know particularly, and I can mostly get on with just being me without too much stress day to day.

I can understand the logic of not propogating something that doesn't work. With truly debilitating issues of a genetic nature, I can see the point of not cursing your offspring with problems. However, AS is more like being ginger. Two aspies will not automatically create another aspie, and even if they do, AS is so widely ranging that its quite possible that two aspies who are almost regular autistic will produce a child thats just a touch anal about where he stacks his bricks, and thats about it. Aspergers seems to be a very subjective experience, affected by so many variables, that its impossible to say its f**king awful across the board.
