Watching surgical procedures and stuff like that freaks me out a lot. But I love gorey movies. the bloodier the better. When I know it's fake, I just get excited about it, and try to figure out how they make it look that way.

I can't watch horror movies because they give me panic attacks and I usually pass out and re-awake drenched in sweat. My anxiety status is listed as "inconceivable" to begin with and watching a gory horror flick or any video that's graphic will cause another panic attack and push me right over the edge.

I have to be really, really carefully about watching videos filled with that stuff on YouTube because it triggers quite a violent reaction every time. My psyche can't tolerate stuff like that at all.

I love it, it's just aesthetically pleasing to me.

It depends on the context for me. Interestingly, I'm not disgusted at all watching movies with over-the-top gore, but surgery scenes can make me feel extremely uncomforable, often to the point of fainting.

I love watching surgical procedures , I even like watching boils getting lanced , there's something satisfying about watching the puss ooze out , I think it's knowing the pressure relief felt by the patient.

as a surgical tech for decades, I had to disassociate during surgeries, I would insist the red stuff was "food coloring" much to the amusement of the docs and nurses. in movies I don't mind so much as I know it is fake and they are acting out fake pain. but I can't watch real-life gore and accidents etc. - I must change the channel when that comes up.

there was a SNL segment featuring dan ackroyd portraying Julia child chopping a chicken in the kitchen, and "she" accidently cut her finger and blood gushed all over the place, which I thought was screamingly funny :lmao: similarly the movie "dawn of the dead" with its over-the-top gore was also a hoot, as was the uncut version of "Reanimator." :skull: fake gore in movies is entertaining.

I know I deleted my previous post before but now I don't care when I say this...

I f*cking LOVE GORE, mutilation, torture films and whatever such videos me and Shadow watch together. It excites me, turns me on, gives me that weird "weightless" feeling sometimes and that tight tension throughout my body. Ever since I was young, I would watch horror movies and anime shows like Hellsing and the sight of blood, the exhibition of power and strength and just complete carnage and the "disgusting" acts seen in these things are just overall pleasing to me. I do like looking at real gore on adult news sites (which I obviously cannot mention). One of which Shadow has an account that we fav videos on. Sometimes I go and watch some with him whenever I feel down and want to let my fantasies go wild for a bit. But I also like looking at drawings of it, particularly the plethora I find on Fur Affinity.

It's such a strong feeling when I look at that kind of content and it gets me sweating profusely with excitement (heh and maybe fear). I am not bothered by seeing gore and death videos of children, humans and animals.

I feel sympathy for him knowing that his documentaries won't change the minds of conservatives.

when I watched "the best of faces of death," it flipped a switch in me and I could no longer tolerate seeing actual gore and suffering. there was one scene in particular involving some evil people eating a live animal, that made me turn it off then and there, I couldn't watch it anymore. 8O

I have only ever seen an actual gore video (a real, fatal accident caught on camera) once, and I was sad seeing it. It just reminds me of everything bad in this twisted world.

On the other hand; I often read novels, and horror novels are my favorite. So I'm no stranger to fictional gore; written or animated (I also enjoy horror anime.) But that's different; since it is not real.

Real gore is just incredibly messed up and I shudder to think why some folks actively seek it out online...

I feel disturbed and disgusted and terrified, I am extremely squeamish. Even if it's not real. People telling gory stories is a no as well, I get distressed, I can't help but imagine it happening to me and I'm horrified at the pain and suffering.

yes, I was trying to spare the sensibilities of some readers here by keeping it generic.
