Hurray Marknis!! ! I'm so glad you posted something positive about yourself.

I think careful driving could well result from aspie-ness, due to being able to have a more rational and thoughtful consideration of the consequences of less careful driving. Where I live, people now drive as if they are trying out for Nascar and weaving in and out of interstate traffic with only a literal couple of feet between vehicles.

I am very grateful for my tendency for truthfulness in all things. I used to see this as a moral quality and was perhaps a bit too proud of it. Now that I know it is just aspie-ness, I can be truthful and more humble. I'm grateful I can see patterns that are totally opaque to others. I love being alone and exploring places many others fear to go. As wonderful as social occasions may be to those who enjoy them, I am grateful to be excluded whenever possible. I am grateful for being able to turn a rational eye to emotional issues so as to be able to work through them in a way that results in change rather than ever turning over and over in the same muddy quagmire.

Edit: This is NOT being sarcastic. I really mean it, Marknus, that you are great and I'm happy for you.

I've noticed around where I live just seems like so many people blowing through red lights. Like did they somehow not take a driving test? Seriously though I have seen it a lot and just today someone almost t-boned me and my boyfriend, we were clearly going fast enough they should have waited but they just kept pulling out and my boyfriend had to swerve out of the way to avoid being hit. Driving safe is always the better option for sure.

Exactly Cockney Rebel. I too am like you and I am able to think for myself whereas so many people are not capable of doing such.
I am glad I am Aspie because I have a very bright mind and as a result I am very motivated and creative.

Years ago, as I was coming home from work, I saw someone go through a red light. There was a terrible accident. A day later, I read in the paper that it resulted in a fatality.
