Yesterday at swimming another child's mum came up to me and said: "I have just seen the dress!" And I said: "what dress?" She just continued talking "Well... it is very nice and simple..... but the veil.... bla bla" and I was "what are you talking about? What dress? What veil?"

This lead to all round astounded comments as to how I had totally missed all this. Not that surprising to me. I do follow news. I read all about the Texas shooting. The plane crash. I just entirely blank things that don't interest me or which seem totally unimportant for me to know about.

People live vicariously through the rich and famous, but if they didn't, we might have justice in the world. The rich are the scourge of the earth now. What fascinates me is how effectively they can lie to us, through layers of PR.

I have no interest whatsoever in celebrity culture, Royals included.

If it's a celebrity I'm fond of, I like to be informed when they marry/divorce, or are in the hospital, or when they die, what projects they have in the works, etc. But I couldn't care less if they're walking down a red carpet, being asked "Who are you wearing?"

And I think paparazzi are the worst, although I will admit to being seriously amused at those candid shots of Glenn Danzig buying kitty litter

I have interest in some celebrities, mainly because I see someone in a show or a movie or they are a musician and I admire their talent. I do have a special interest in a couple actresses, but aside from them, I don't really pay much attention to what other famous people are up to.

I'm not interested in celebrity culture. If there's been an event, I spend about 15 minutes looking at the dresses via my laptop. I don't have a TV because that's a lot of money for the one or two shows I might watch.

I did watch the royal wedding, which I loved, and I'll watch the Oscars, but I don't really pay attention to celebrity gossip or care about reality shows. There are actors and musicians I like because of their talent, but that just means that I'll see a movie or TV show they're in, or buy the newest album.

I am, but only if it's celebrities I like. I don't watch Keeping Up With The Kardashians and reality TV shows like that. But if it's a celebrity I am a fan of, I am very interested in news about them.

What I've noticed over the last 7 years or so is that if anything it's
more common for autistic people to be into celebrities than NTs as
I have known several NTs who reacted with indifference and/or negativity
if ever I mentioned celebrities. They all seemed to be more focused on
more down-to-earth stuff but I think part of what spoke for their reaction
may have been they're disgruntlement of me being into celebs to the level
I was i.e. slightly obsessed at times

I have no interest in celebrity cuture at all. Usually celebrity names are mentioned and I have no clue as to who they are. I don’t watch tv soaps - I think they are a total waste of time, as is any fiction, and many celebrities are soap stars. It just doesn’t interest me at all, in fact I feel I have no reason to be interested in anyone but my close friends and family.
I have just read that and realise it sounds rather harsh, but that is my answer to the original question - ‘no I’m not’ !

I have no interest in celeb culture but I do pay attention to things some celebs due like if a musician/singer I like is releasing a new album. I also pay very close attention to my celeb crush but she's the exception.

I like famous people who actually accomplished something (Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal), famous for being the best in their chosen field. I also like people who have overcome great odds to succeed, even if they are not well-known, such as Denis Istomin.

As for celebrities, I can do without them altogether. They range from superficial to just plain filthy, for the most part.

I sure couldn't care less about celebrity culture... or sports... or mainstream culture in general.

It's all so superficial, artificial and plain boring.
