Istomin fan

Yes

Self esteem appears to be a Western concep

My precious lil Chinese "parents" did not act too concerned about my  self esteem

They were not physically or sexually abusive.

Just calloused, abrupt, insensitive

And that is not a violation of Child Protective Services

(But "failure to attend to a special education need" is :skull: )

It seems that way too many precious lil "people" have :ninja: confidence not proportional to comptence  :D :o

No. No it isn't okay. The very fact that you've asked leads me to believe you already know that deep inside.

This OP has a history of asking this kind of rhetorical question. I don't know what that's about, but I'm unwilling to play this sort of game, so I will unsubscribe from the thread now.

I got a seriously offended PM.
I did not mean my post in any personal way. As I said in my reply to that PM:

"I know I don't know anybody really and I don;t ever dare to think I do so a lot of the time I resort to just talking about what has helped me because I just don't know what else to say but I know I want others to do well and be ok"

Sometimes this strategy of mine does not work out. I should have made it more clear that I was talking about myself.

I'm sorry for the confusion, definitely didn't mean offense.
