Only if you can prove to my complete satisfaction that the change is beneficial to me.

Its not change that bothers me. Its the process of the change. Once I'm settled in to the new normal, I'm fine.

I find it really difficult dealing with change of anything that isn't in my routine. If it's a gradual change that becomes consistent then I get used to it, eventually, but it's always difficult as it's actually happening. But if it's a sudden big change then it causes me distress, severe anxiety and panic attacks.

Last month I had to go out suddenly which resulted in me having a panic attack in town where I passed out and then I struggled to breathe. It was so embarassing but also a very unpleasant experience.

So for me change is definitely a big no if I can help it. I have a routine and I like to stick to it when I can.

50/50

Some changes I’m ok with, some I am not.

I am very big on routine, and even small changes can make me irrationally upset. I had a meltdown at work once because they painted over the white lines in the parking lot and made them yellow (it doesn't help that I hate yellow; it's ugly and bright and hurts my eyes). I also got very anxious and upset when they changed the chairs in our lobby. The new ones were black faux-leather, and I couldn't sit in them for a long time because they reminded me of spiders.

Unexpected change can throw me into a meltdown faster than anything else. It makes me feel like I'm being pushed off a cliff into an abyss, and I never know how to act in unfamiliar situations. I feel like Alice in Wonderland, where nothing makes sense and nothing functions the way you'd expect. It makes me very tense and uneasy. I've always been this way; as a kid and even now, I have to buy the same brand of groceries every time, because even a change in the packaging appearance is distressing.

That about sums it up. It's not so bad if I can have some control over it, but expected change or change pushed on me is usually pretty unpleasant and anxiety provoking

I like changes. I like to improvise. I like catastrophes when everything falls apart so my improvising skills can make the difference, not only for me but for others too.
It takes energy but it gives that nice kind of being tired and satisfied.
Routines are efficient, they help me rest but in the long run, I suffocate if I can't leave them.

Unfamiliar situations and unexpected change is too frightening because I am not prepared for it, and, while better, even imposing change on myself is too much work to weigh all the options all over again and preparing for new situations.

Me to. I don't really like change especially when groups are switched up in a classroom and I sometimes can't remember where I would go in a group because it's all switched up. My least favorite part of a chore is getting up to go do the chore rather than the work. I really like routine.

I don't like change. I'm a "creature of habit."

I'm a creature of habit as well, but if I can plan for change, then I'm OK with it or in the case of planning all aspects of a future vacation, even look forward to it. I'm not OK with unexpected changes to my daily life or routine that I didn't initiate but I'm forced to instantly try to figure out and deal with.
